Do you remember the electric scooter that Smart wanted to present at the Paris International Motor Show, scheduled from 2nd to 17th October? Well, it's already here. The German manufacturer, owned by Mercedes, releases the first official images of the two-wheeler which combines experience in the automotive field with the Electric Drive (ED) technology developed for the Smart ForTwo ED.

The new Smart eScooter has a very fast line: the lines, the signs, the turns, the geometric shapes are instantaneous, light, never marked. It is inspired by the bizarreness of the entire Smart hemisphere and distances itself from the vintage model promised and promoted by MINI: here we are far-sighted and have attempted to give a strong futuristic connotation.

Under the bodywork, an electric engine, placed inside the rear tyres, generates approximately 4 KW (approximately 5,4 horsepower): allowing the new Smart eScooter to reach a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. The lithium ion battery, they say, will guarantee a range of 100 kilometers and charging will take place in between three and five hours, using the traditional home energy network.

Precisely so as not to betray the automotive nature of those who produce it, Smart eScooter will be equipped with some typical four-wheel features: a front airbag, the ABS device, the heated handlebars, the blind spot monitoring system of the rear-view mirrors, the LED lighting and an application that will allow you to connect your smartphone comfortably. Two seats, two slots for as many helmets: just like the ForTwo small car of which, in part, the project is the offspring. See you in Paris.
