Shark: the Race-R Pro GP helmet receives the new FIM Racing homologation

Starting from the 2019 season of the speed championships, the International Federation has imposed more stringent rules for the homologation of helmets. For all riders who participate in the FIM Grand Prix competitions, it will be mandatory to use helmets with a particular certification, called: FIM Helmet Standard

Shark, a French helmet company, immediately moved in this direction and has already had its Race-R Pro GP, already equipped with a standard ECE certification, approved to the new safety standard, successfully passing the various tests, including : linear impact test at low (5,0 m/s) and high speed (8,2 m/s) on ECE and a points
average speed on three randomly chosen extra points on the helmet surface, the oblique impact tests with five
different orientations and penetration tests at two random points.

The helmet is available for the Poti Shark in 5 sizes and the approval is valid with the presence of all the appendages: chin guard, upper and front air intakes, upper and lateral Venturi effect intakes and rear aerodynamic spoiler. Homologation is illustrated by the FIM branding, which includes the words "FIM Racing Homologated Helmet", the FRHP and Shark logos and product information.
