Shark 2023 helmet range: many new features for the safety of motorcyclists

Shark presents 4 new models of full-face helmet for the 2023 season to cover all the needs of motorcyclists looking for a helmet of this type. Shark was born in 1989 in Marseille and today it counts more than 700 employees and sells its products in 77 countries. Production is based on a factory located in Portugal for helmets with a polycarbonate shell and one in Thailand for carbon fiber helmets. The models presented today are RACE R PRO GP 06, SKWAL i3, D-SKWAL 3 and RIDILL 2.

RACE R PRO GP 06

This helmet is part of the racing division and represents the top of the range by Shark. This model is in fact chosen by Johann zarco for Moto GP, a category where Shark is chosen by 3 riders as well as 14 others between Moto 2 and Moto 3. This helmet also established the speed record in Moto GP with a speed of 363,6 km/h at Mugello in 2022. RACE R PRO GP 06 has FIM approval and has passed all homologation tests UN EEC 22-06 and is made with carbon and aramid. The shell is available in two sizes and the proposed sizes range from XS to XL. Its shape was studied in wind tunnel to be comfortable and safe even at very high speeds. The visors available are class 1 always with anti-fog treatment and anti-scratch and can be had in 7 different colors. The selling price is €1016,99 and also includes a racing kits to maintain and transport the helmet. Are available 4 colors: two Zarco replica graphics, matte black or glossy red.

SKWAL i3

With this product Shark wanted to put the emphasis on safety active, in fact SKWAL i3 is equipped with intelligent LED lighting both front and rear. At the front we have 4 white LED lights and one at the rear red LED light which, being connected to a triaxial accelerometer It is able to function as a brake light without any connection to the motorcycle. Battery life is 12 hours and charges to 100% in 3 hours. LEDs can work in various ways while always maintaining the brake light function if the system is activated. The simplest operation involves only the rear LED with brake light function, then you move on to the mode with all lights on to the flashing one where the front LEDs also flash to signal the presence of the motorcyclist even in cases of poor visibility. Great attention was paid to comfort, in fact the design of the shell was obtained after a long series of 3D detections on the heads of various people to better define the definitive shape of the helmet. This helmet then enjoys two patents which allow you to remove the visor without any tools and the padding can also be easily removed. D-SKWAL 3

This model was born together with the SKWAL i3 e is completely renovated compared to its predecessor D-SKWAL 2. The shell and all external components are shared with the SKWAL i3 but without the installation of the LED system. The interior also shares more than 90% of the components. The approval characteristics comply with the new one UN EEC regulation 22-06 and the visors are all class 1. The sizes go from xs to xxl and they are available well 10 graphics and different colors. Prices range from €202,99 up to €253,99, remaining the same as its predecessor.

RIDILL 2

This model is the entry point of the range Shark, but maintains many features of the superior models such as the optical class 1 visor or the system for removing padding and visor without any tools. They are also maintained shape of the shell as on D-SKWAL 3 and the wide range of sizes with shell in two different sizes.
