Sestriere Adventure Tour, preparations are underway for the fifth edition

Sestriere Adventure Tour – On a motorbike beyond the clouds has the particularity of acting as an entry event, in the simplest and safest form, to the world of off-road adventure tourism, for those who want to enjoy a weekend in nature, sportsmanship and relaxation among passionate friends, receiving advice and gaining experience in off-road driving. Sestriere Adventure Tour is, therefore, an ideal event to become familiar with riding on dirt roads, but it also represents the best training for more experienced motorcyclists who are already training in view of the more challenging HAT HARDALPITOUR scheduled for September.

Over the course of the three days, the event will be animated by the base village in the central Piazza Agnelli, meeting place for all participants as well as the starting and arrival point of the ADVENTOUR and HALF HARDALPITOUR. The ADVENTOURS are itineraries to travel in the two valleys, with groups made up of a maximum of 12 motorcyclists led by IGAST, the off-road motorbike guides officially recognized by the FMI. The presence of guides constitutes the specialty of the #sestriereadventour, experts not only in finding the most beautiful and appropriate roads for the ability of the participants, but also pilots able to help and suggest to those who need it how to deal with any pitfalls of the discipline . The Adventours wind for hundreds of kilometers on mostly dirt paths of various kinds, immersed in the fascinating natural environment of high altitude, between valleys, plateaus, villages and mountain pastures that reach even 3.000 meters above sea level. Over the three days, several tours are planned which will pass by all the most panoramic and spectacular points in the area, through the network of ex-military dirt roads with forts, outposts, barracks and observation points. The Assietta road, the Seguret mountains, the Colomion hill, the Argentera and Thures valleys, the Monti della Luna, and the legendary Chaberton, are just some of the places that all participants will be able to discover, thanks to the great relationship of collaboration between Over2000riders and local authorities.

On the night of Friday 30 June the HALF HARDALPITOUR (HALF HAT) will be held, a 12-hour adventure almost completely at night with departure from #sestriere at 23.00 pm and return at 11.00 am on Saturday. A 250 km itinerary with GPS tracks on high-altitude dirt roads surrounded by a spectacular parade of stars. For many of the participants the Half Hardalpitour will represent a unique emotion, in great safety, of off-road driving at night, excellent training in view of the HAT HARDALPITOUR.

REGISTRATION AND COSTS

Registration includes different cost options, depending on the time and choice of each participant:

Event registration

Long weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday): €90,00 / €80,00 for FMI members

Sunday only: €50,00 / €45,00 for FMI members

Registration for the event includes:

– membership to the OVER2000RIDERS association valid from the start date of the event to 31/12/2017, including the legal assistance service for off-roaders

– tourist material illustrating the routes on dirt roads

– event celebratory t-shirt and event sticker table

– coupon for a complete meal at partner restaurants in #sestriere (valid for 2/3 day registration) + aperitif on Saturday evening offered by Over2000riders

– additional health care policy

– possibility of signing up for Adventour groups accompanied by IGAST guides
