SEAT MÓ 125: the electric scooter tested in different climatic conditions

Different temperatures on different roads. From cold to extreme heat riding the electric scooter SEAT MÓ 125, put to the test by Quality and Research and Development team in opposite environments, among the mountains of Baqueira Beret (Lleida) and the Tabernas desert ((Almería), in Spain. One of the two areas stands out temperature difference of 55°C, over a total distance of 4.400 kilometers.

The tests

The model was evaluated in demanding conditions, tackling asphalt, dirt and variable conditions. During the tests, the engineers assessed that the battery, components, suspension and traction had not been conditioned and the tires always guaranteed grip.

Another interesting aspect is ensuring that the electric performance of the scooter remains uniform even in challenging climatic conditions, ranging for example between -10 ° C on Pyrenees (Baqueira) hey 45°C in Almería desert. The battery features a self-protection system that attenuates power if it detects overheating, for example.
These types of assessments are valuable for defining the settings of the medium for international markets.
