Helmet

The design is aerodynamic, tested in a wind tunnel to promote stability even at high speeds and is characterized by a shell in Ultra-TCT™ CARBON, a composite material whose carbon percentage is high and its weight is low. The indicated data amounts to 1.300 grams in size M (+/- 50 g). A notable absorption of energy is highlighted, based on the ability to progressively deform.
They are six sizes linked to three different shell measurements: the first for XS-M sizes, the second for L sizes and the third for XL-XXL sizes.

Ventilation is supported by an oversized upper air intake with a low profile based on the aerodynamic traits of the helmet and noise attenuation. We note a tension spring that can be opened with a touch. The air conveyed inside comes out from the rear extractors creating an aerodynamic load useful for stability.
The visor, via a second generation Ellip-Tec™ II mechanism, can be replaced without using tools. The system features robust springs and promotes an airtight and silent closure along the seal. There is also a central locking mechanism that allows you to open and close the visor easily, also promoting extended vertical vision. The visor can be left stable even in a slightly open position, useful for letting a light flow of air inside when traveling at low speeds.

The visor has supports for the tear-off and the transparent visor is associated with a "Dark Smoke" visor, therefore a Pinlock® 100% MaxVision system is highlighted which offers an anti-fogging action.
The internal areas are made up of 3D laser cut shaped foam cushions, which can be removed and washed. Comfort is linked to the use of a hypoallergenic, antimicrobial and breathable KwikWick® III lining fabric, so the EPS follows the shapes of the head. The model is also equipped with an AIR FIT® system which allows you to inflate and deflate the cushions to optimize the fit, then the internal “KwikFit™” profiling allows you to insert or remove glasses.

Another interesting aspect for safety is the presence of a 2nd generation rapid cheek pad extraction system (ERS, Emergency Release System) which facilitates the removal of the helmet by specialized personnel, in order to speed up the rescue phase.
The Scorpion Sports EXO R1 EVO Carbon Air helmet is also equipped with a lightweight Titanium “Double-D” ring closure system, always functional for safety.
