The most celebrated new four-cylinder naked car increases its charm, equipment and finishing quality even further.

Three Brutales, three characters, as many ways of being. The 4 Brutale 2013-cylinder range is divided into three models: Brutale 1090, Brutale 1090 R and Brutale 1090 RR.

Features - In detail, the main features of MV Agusta Brutale are:

  • Four-cylinder in-line engine with two maximum power configurations
  • Traction control adjustable on 8 levels
  • Detachable frame with trellis section in steel tubes and aluminum plates with high torsional rigidity
  • Rear single-sided swingarm with preload-adjustable shock absorber
  • 50 mm upside down fork
  • Radial front caliper brakes

Design – Form and function: following these inspiring principles, Brutale continues to fascinate. And it changes in many details. The luminous elements, day running lights, arranged symmetrically on the sides of the dashboard cover, have an immediate impact: capable of enhancing the entire frontal area, making the motorbike more visible and therefore safe during the day and night.

Another glimpse of light comes from the four-cylinder engine, now silver in colour, a shade that emphasizes the compactness and extremely accurate construction of each of its elements. The same color range characterizes the new rims, with a unique design in the motorcycle sector: the multiple spokes are split and give life to a fascinating and at the same time efficient design, considering that the weight of the pair of rims is approximately 1.500 grams less than those mounted on previous models.

The two new overlapping exhaust pipes, a key element of the design, become even more racing thanks to the tapered ends with the cut
peremptory transverse that recalls the exhausts of American dragsters. The surface finish enhances the compact dimensions; the new aluminum bulkhead that avoids contact with the collectors has been redefined.

There are also new features for the new rear light cluster, now with the latest technology light guide, and for the rear-view mirrors with a revised design on the Brutale 1090. On the Brutale 1090 R and Brutale 1090 RR they integrate the direction indicators, to the benefit of the look and overall dimensions ; on the same models, the rear indicators are LED. The license plate holder is now metallic, lighter and more essential, therefore capable of further enhancing the design of the compact, inimitable tail. On Brutale 1090 the new monolithic saddle benefits from new, more ergonomic shapes, as well as high-level finishes. Finally, the new front mudguard has also been redesigned, now with large lightening slots.

The engine – The four-cylinder in-line architecture is part of MV Agusta history and finds its complete expression in the engine of the Brutale range. This is the 1078 cc unit, with bore and stroke measurements of 79 and 55 mm respectively. The distribution, unique in the sector, is with a double overhead camshaft, four valves per cylinder arranged radially. The cooling is liquid, but also uses an oil radiator. There are two configurations, which stand out for their different maximum power and torque values: Brutale 1090 and Brutale 1090 R reach 144 HP (106 kW) at 10.300 rpm and 112 Nm (11,4 kgm); Brutale 1090 RR reaches the impressive power of 158 HP (116,5
kW) at 11.900 rpm, with torque reaching 100 Nm (10,2 kgm) at 10.100 rpm.

The six-speed gearbox with always meshing gears is removable: another touch that makes MV Agusta exclusive. The multi-plate wet clutch on the Brutale 1090 RR is equipped with an effective mechanical anti-hopping device.

The frame – The mixed structure of the Brutale frame is composed of the front section in high-strength ALS steel tubes, completed in the area of the single-sided pivot by two aluminum plates: this configuration guarantees the best ratio between effectiveness and weight, as well as characterizing every MV Agusta .

Dimensions and dimensions remain unchanged: wheelbase of 1.438 mm on Brutale 1090 RR (1.430 on Brutale 1090 and Brutale 1090 R), trail of 103,5 mm.

The suspensions – Brutale continues to represent the reference for driving pleasure thanks also to continuously refined and perfected suspensions. The fork with 50 mm diameter legs is adjustable in all elastic and mechanical functions via special external adjusters: compression on one leg, extension on the other, spring preload on both.

The new fork foot allows quick release of the front area: a touch of typically racing functionality. Even the monoshock
the response can be customized, with some distinctions based on the version: on Brutale 1090 and Brutale 1090 R, intervention is possible on the brake extension and on the spring preload; on Brutale 1090 RR the shock absorbing unit offers more options: in addition to spring preload and rebound damping, the compression hydraulics can also vary, with separate adjustment for response to high and low speeds.

The brakes – The braking system of each Brutale is centered on components of the highest quality: two front discs with a diameter of 310 mm for the Brutale 1090, 320 mm for the Brutale 1090 R and Brutale 1090 RR, floating, with steel braking band; a rear disc also made of steel, with a diameter of 210 mm. The calipers have four pistons both front and rear; on the Brutale 1090 RR the front ones are Brembo monobloc, at the top for effectiveness and weight reduction.

Colors and prices – The new Brutale range is offered in 3 colors for each version with prices starting from €12.990.
