The word BMW uses most often to describe its new scooters is "challenge". On the one hand, the manufacturer explains that this term translates into an increase in traffic intensity, energy costs and CO2 emission regulations valid in city centres. On the other hand, it ensures that it is working every day to develop solutions for series production that take current and future mobility needs into account.

The fruit of these efforts is the pair of maxiscooters C 600 Sport and C 650 GT, already exhibited at the latest edition of EICMA 2011, the international motorcycle show in Milan, and which are now being made known through a promotional video.

As already explained, we are faced with two models with different concepts and characteristics. The C 600 Sport is at its best in the city, the C 650 GT on long journeys. The first is equipped with lower handlebars and a sportier 810 mm saddle. The second is exactly the opposite: a choice designed to guarantee greater comfort. Just looking at the different fairing is enough to understand it better. Three color variants, Cosmicblue metallic matt, Titansilber or Saphirschwarz metallic, both for the C 600 Sport; than for the C 650 GT with Saphirschwarz, Platinbronze or Vermilion red metallic. They have in common the 647 cubic centimeter parallel twin engine and 60 horsepower with a maximum torque of 66 Nm, as well as a series of features such as parking brake activated automatically from the side stand, electronic injection and catalyst for reducing consumption and emissions. , adjustable windscreen (electric for the C 650 GT, manual for the C 600 Sport).
