Royal Enfield: the new 650 cc twin-cylinder makes its debut at EICMA

Features include 8 valve head, air and oil cooling, 47 HP of power and 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch

The engine will be mounted on the Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650

Royal Enfield – Among the most active brands a EICMA there is Royal Enfield. The company, a true reference in the medium-sized motorcycle segment (from 250 to 750 cc), presented the first models in its range which will use its new twin-cylinder engine, the INT 650 interceptor , Continental GT650. It is a 648 cc twin-cylinder, single overhead camshaft with 8 valves and air and oil cooling, developed by Royal Enfield itself between the United Kingdom and Chennai. The engine has a power of 47 HP, a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and above all a pleasant sensation of greater thrust at low revs.

The Interceptor INT 650 starts from the tradition of the motorcycles that populated the California coasts in the XNUMXs. With its classic shaped tank, seat for two people and handlebars with distinctive lines, it looks like one of the most classic Roadsters in every way. Its innovative frame, however, makes the Interceptor INT 650 a comfortable and versatile motorbike, perfect for riding in the city but also for a weekend trip. The new Continental GT 650 retains all the charm of the cafe racer, combined with new components and design. It shares the engine and chassis with its big sister Interceptor, but offers a completely different driving style and feeling in the saddle.

Both bikes will be available in different colors and with two different styles: Standard and Retro Custom. Royal Enfield has developed 11 options with the aim of reaching both enthusiasts who are most faithful to history and those with more modern tastes, but who do not for this reason deny classic motorcycles.
