Rome Motodays – The creativity and passion of the Land of Romagna meet the history and color of Rome: a happy meeting, the one between Aldo Drudi e Rome Motodays, from which the new logo and the poster that will accompany the tenth anniversary of Motorcycle and Scooter Show in Rome Fair. Aldo Drudi needs no introduction: he is the designer of champions, who has always worked with many companies, from Ducati to Yamaha, from Honda to Dainese, and who signs the helmets of many riders. “Not just Valentino Rossi", as he himself likes to point out: "But also of Mick Doohan, Kevin Schwantz and, to stay within the Roman context, of Max Biaggi and Davide Giugliano".

A genius of the pencil, Aldo Drudi, who has signed hundreds of brilliant creations. On Valentino Rossi's helmets, perhaps, he indulged himself more, going from yellow fish to the Blues Brothers, from snowflakes to a thousand interpretations of the sun and moon, symbols much loved by the Pesaro native. But Aldo Drudi's imagination also led him to paint five escape routes of the Misano circuit on the occasion of the last San Marino Grand Prix and the Rimini Riviera, creating unique chromatic effects admired by millions of people live worldwide.

Now Aldo Drudi's pencil has reached the capital to draw Roma Motodays: "Much of the history of motorcycling has to do with Rome. And doing something about the Rome fair was a wedding invitation. The first move was to add 'Rome' to the existing logo: it is sensational to be able to use the name of such an important city".

"And precisely because it is Rome, a Latin city, where people communicate, talk, have fun, ride motorbikes with great pleasure all year round thanks to the climate, it was a must to use colour. Using a photographic image would have been an offense to a city that thrives on history and imagination. This is why we chose to work on the graphic sign – adds Drudi -. We went from racing to the little girl who travels with a scooter, from custom motorbike enthusiasts to off-roaders. We started from the photos that I enjoyed retouching with a graphic exercise, which I did in the evening, after work, with a bit of music and tranquility and which I literally 'dirtied' with fluorescent colors and color remover. Yes, those white marks you see are made with that very banal tube that is used to correct lyrics when you make a mistake".

"The language is modern, but I found it right that a place like Rome that lives on history should not have to do with computer graphics but with manual skills. And then we wanted to move away from the communication of other realities and give a less cold, much more Latin approach, because in Rome the climate influences the choices and also the character of the people, for better or for worse. But there is also a lot of heat in Romagna, and in Rimini there is a Roman settlement – he concludes -. We are very happy with the result obtained. Maybe we could have presented Roma Motodays with something less 'complicated'. But we are not like that and we always work with the aim of giving our best".
