On the occasion of the tenth edition of Roma Motodays, wandering around the custom motorbike stands, among many motorbikes, from the most elaborate to the most "strange", one caught our attention: the Codacorta.

In essence it is a kit that modifies the Honda CBR900 making it somewhat less pure sporty, but at the same time it does not distort the fundamental characteristics of the bike. As the producers themselves call it, a Street Racer.

Perhaps the aspect that attracted us most about this bike was essentially seeing a CRB stripped of its fairings and made into a sporty naked.

The judges of the "Iron Touring" competition also seem to be of the same opinion, judging Codacorta to be the best due to the combination of beauty of the motorbike and usability of the vehicle.

We therefore decided to speak, before the name of the winner was announced, with whoever is behind this project, Massimiliano D'Agnano, the founder, who has the say.

“The project is based on the CRB from the 90s, a range that goes from 94 to 99 (the basic bike can be sourced directly from them or supplied by the customer ed.). The motorbike is completely restored to almost new condition and is modified with a kit that makes it a motorbike that we have called Codacorta. Finished, it weighs approximately 160 kg and develops what were the original horsepower of the motorcycle. It has a basic cost, which includes all processing, of around 10 thousand euros. The motorbike was launched last year at the Dainese store, which was the partner in the initiative, and is produced in just 40 units. Each motorcycle bears the progressive number and the owner's initials. The customer has the possibility to personalize it more and more. It differs from the other specials in production because it is a very simple and elegant motorbike with few flashy modifications, but it has a concept of rideability. That is, it can be used every day in all contexts.”
