La Historical re-enactment of the Motogiro d'Italia in 2022 is scheduled from 22 al 28st May. The route winds for approximately 1.700 kilometres, first following the Adriatic coast until arriving at the most extreme part of the slope, before the subsequent ascent along the Ionian side, facing the Calabrian-Lucanian Apennines and then the Abruzzo one, returning again to Francavilla love.

The dates were announced by the president of the "Moto Club Terni Libero Liberati - Paolo Pileri" Massimo Mansueti, who organizes the event in collaboration with the Italian and International Motorcycle Federation. On this occasion, it is specified that possible restrictions related to the ongoing pandemic are still being taken into consideration.
Information relating to registration methods can also be consulted on the event portal. There are various formulas and also different costs, with closure that cannot be postponed until the end of April. Just as special discounts are reserved for groups and those who register by January, according to reports.

Particular attention is also dedicated to the logistics and hospitality of the competitors with refreshments and convivial services along the route. There is also a staff of 55 people, including an advanced healthcare facility.
Returning to the event, it is a regularity race with marked routes, time controls and special timed tests at a set time. There are a total of five main categories, together with the traditional one Historical re-enactment which refers to the brands and displacements protagonists in the competitive Motogiro which took place from 1953 to 1957, we also note: Vintage, Classic, Heritage e Motogiro.

The participants will meet on Sunday 22 May in Francavilla a Mare (Chieti) for the preliminary operations, while on Monday the first stage will start which will end after 268 km of route in Vieste (Foggia).
The historical reenactment of the Motogiro d'Italia will start from here the following day to reach, after 286 km, another well-known Apulian tourist destination: Polignano a Mare (Bari). The third day will end after a further 286 km, again in Puglia in Marina di Ugento (Lecce) and the ascent will start from here.
The group will find themselves at the halfway point and the fourth stage will end in Matera, in Basilicata, from which they will set off again for the longest fraction of 310 km which will lead the participants to Campobasso, in Molise. The final stage is the return to Francavilla a Mare, in Abruzzo, after another 262 km.
