RFN Ares: the new 2022% electric motocross bike debuts at EICMA 100 [PHOTO]

West Germany took advantage of theEICMA 2022 to present a new 100% electric motocross bike called RFN Ares. It comes with LG 21700 batteries which can be recharged up to 80% in just 2 hours using fast charging.

The new off-road motorcycle has an engine capable of developing 17 HP (12,5 kW) of peak power and 270 Nm of maximum torque. The sprint from 0 to 50 km/h takes place in just 3,2 seconds while the maximum speed is 70 km/h. Furthermore, a full battery charge is guaranteed up to 160 km of autonomy.

During the development of new Ares, RFN focused on lightness to make the vehicle faster and more agile. This is why the RFN Ares boasts a high-strength aluminum alloy and steel frame that allows it to weigh less than 75 kg. It also boasts a design characterized by agile and at the same time simple lines, with plastic parts.

It is available in two different versions

The new Ares will be available in two versions called RS e RallyPro. The first is suitable for road use while the second is perfect for off-road use. It doesn't end there as the Ares offers a combined structure that allows subsequent modifications while on the rear there is a flat fork that can be rotated horizontally.

There is also a system that allows you to reduce the likelihood of wheel slip on unpaved roads and makes the vehicle easier to control. There new RFN Ares It also features adjustable shock absorbers with front and rear damping to adapt to various driving scenarios.

We find a quick-release seat cushion that takes just five seconds to unlock climbing mode. According to the company, its new zero-emission motocross bike features the IP67 certification while the motor was made of steel resistant to temperatures up to 180 °C.

It offers three driving modes

There are three driving modes available called Turtle, Rabbit e Rocket. The former saves energy and is more suitable for long distances. The second improves the power delivered while the third allows you to fully exploit the energy. There is also Reverse mode for everyday driving.

Finally, the new RFN Ares will arrive in Europe towards the end of this month at a price of 5999 € for the Rally Pro version and 6299 € for the RS.
