Regina: presented a Z-Ring HPE chain with elimination of periodic re-lubrication
Available on the replacement market from January 2021
Introduced by Regina a Z-Ring High Performance Endurance chain (HPE), highlighting the elimination of periodic re-lubrication every 1.000 km.
Features
A coating is applied to the surfaces of the bushes and rollers Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), hydrogen free. An innovative and advanced solution among coverings DLC (Diamond Like Carbon). Considering such coating ta-C and taking into account a high hardness of the coated surface with a low friction coefficient, a reduced energy dissipation in the secondary transmission with a corresponding increase in efficiency is expected. The HPE chain transmission does not need the action of coated crowns and pinions, still following the indications.
Thanking the contribution to the project of those who collaborated as passionate motorcyclists, Paul Garbagnati, CEO of Regina, reported: “The elimination of periodic re-lubrication and the greater efficiency of the transmission elevate the HPE chain to an extremely advanced technological level compared to traditional chains with seals, unthinkable until today and unmatched on the market.”
Among the aspects highlighted: the elimination of cleaning operations and lubricant splashes during driving, as well as various laboratory and road tests which have highlighted a life cycle equivalent, if not superior, to a traditional Z chain -Ring re-lubricated.
Availability
Proposed on the replacement market starting since January 2021, as reported.
