Sibiu, a town in the heart of Romania, was the venue for the 15th edition of RedBull Romaniacs, the most challenging and difficult extreme enduro race in the world which led the registered riders to cross the valleys of Romania with the aid of GPS, in extreme conditions, with rain and sun alternating hastily and different types of terrain

RedBull Romaniacs: the race

This year too, there were many riders who challenged each other in this knobby wheel marathon, which takes place over five days, from the Prologue on the opening day to tackling the long route in the Romanian valleys until Saturday 28 July. During the event, many riders wearing Metzeler tires stood out. The final classification saw the Australian driver Wade Young cross the finish line first, followed closely by Manuel Lettenbichler, protagonist and winner of the fourth day of the race. Third place for Johnny Walker, provisional leader of the World Enduro Super Serries and rider equipped with Metzeler tyres. Protagonist of the Prologue and the first two days of the race, Taddy Blazusiac instead waved the white flag at the very end of the race. The Team Eurotek KTM rider, the Englishman Paul Bolton, finished in sixth position and amazed everyone with a splendid race and the determination he showed. The next round of the World Enduro Super Serries is scheduled for Saturday 8 September in Poland with the Red Bull 111 Megawatt.
