Quadro 4, the first 2014-wheel scooter in the world launched at EICMA 4 [VIDEO INTERVIEW]
Riccardo Marabese: “Safe like a car, fun like a motorbike”
EICMA 2014 – A 4-wheel scooter, capable of cornering like a sports bike, but without needing to be a rider. We are very curious to try it, but the conditions for promoting it are all there.
Aesthetically appealing, it is based on the patent that made the small company located just across the Swiss border famous, with production in Taiwan and Italian design. Patent that takes the name of HTS (Hydraulic Tilting System), previously used for the two front wheels, has now been adapted to the rear ones as well. The project was not trivial, so much so that Quadro 4 took a long time to come after the prototypes from 4 years ago (it seems to be a very recurring number). A differential also had to be adopted to manage traction on the two rear wheels.
The fruit of a lot of work, as Riccardo Marabese tells us, is a unique vehicle, which combines the safety of 4 wheels with the pleasure of driving a motorbike. The intent is to satisfy motorists who convert to scooters for practicality, but also the most experienced riders, free to have fun with their 2+2 wheels in all seasons, in all weather conditions, even in the presence of snow and ice, given the stability of Framework 4.
