Panel 4: from the city to conquer the hardest dirt roads

The Swiss four-wheeler completed the 520 km of the HAT Classic, from Sanremo to Sestriere

Designer Roberto Marabes: “We have always been 100% convinced of the goodness of its mechanics”

Quadro 4 – Don't call it a city scooter anymore or at least just a city scooter. The Quadro 4 he also wants to make his sporting soul known and has found in the Hardalpitour the ideal terrain on which to extricate himself. The 4-wheel scooter from the Swiss brand has erased all doubts by demonstrating that it can move safely even on terrain very far from city terrain. Captained by Riccardo and Roberto Marabese, the two Quadro crews traveled the 520 km of the HAT Classic, from Sanremo to Sestriere, riding standard vehicles.

The risk of making a poor impression was just around the corner, but evidently at QUADRO they love challenges, as designer Roberto Marabes confirms: “We were looking for potential that was still untapped by our four-wheeled scooter. The Quadro 4 was born as an urban vehicle but is proving to be able to maneuver across multiple territories. We were all 100% convinced of the goodness of its mechanics; some doubts concerned the behavior of the hull, rigid, like a city scooter, which however resisted despite the strong "slaps" received along the way. Even the idea of involving two drivers from outside the company ultimately paid off. Just think that one of the two, born in 100, has already traveled 1950 thousand kilometers on his Quadro 4".

What leaves us favorably impressed is the fact that the crews traveled on a series vehicle: “To be precise, among the six there was a Steinbock version scooter, the one with touring accessories – continues Marabes -. We are thinking of exhibiting the specimen used for this adventure in our stand at EICMA. On all the other vehicles we have fitted winter tires and a pair of additional spotlights. No changes to the chassis or anything else".
