Nicolò Jarod Bulega is Italian Champion of the Pre Gp 250. One of the emerging talents of Italian motorcycling, son of art (his father Davide was in fact Italian champion of the 125 Sp and European champion of the 250 GP, team manager of the Lightspeed team until 2007, as well as test driver of the Cagiva 500cc in the 90s) takes home his third title in three years!

Nicolò dominated the season and yesterday at Mugello he celebrated his first title on board the four-stroke. A season that also saw him suffer, when at Misano he was disqualified for a technical irregularity in the engine of his RMU. To recover the lost ground he had to make a great comeback, winning all the remaining races by showing the grit and determination of a champion. Italian and European Mini Gp champion in 2011, Italian Pre Gp 125 champion in 2012 and this year first in the Pre Gp 250.

It should be remembered that he has also become part of those riders that Valentino Rossi is focusing on. In fact, he will be part of the academy and the nine-time world champion will look for the best accommodation for him.

“I am very happy to have won the championship. I wanted to win the first title in 250 and the first for the family team – said Nicolò Bulega – I ran a good season and I always gave my best. Then after Misano I had to chase for the disqualification. But I didn't think about making calculations, just about giving my best and recovering the disadvantage in the standings. Even today I didn't make any calculations until two laps from the end, giving it my all, then I followed the reports from the pits. Now let's celebrate and from tomorrow I will start thinking about the new year, about Moto3 and above all about joining VR46. I dedicate this championship to everyone, but especially to my parents who always follow me and have provided me with a bike and a fantastic team.”

"Beautiful! We won and Nicolò was wonderful today too – added Davide Bulega, team manager and Nicolò's father – He demonstrated that he knows how to go fast even under water after losing pole yesterday. But in the warm up he showed that he knows how to do it even in difficult conditions. In the race he was masterful, he made a great performance and in the end he listened to us and lowered the pace, thus taking home the title. We knew we could win the tournament and we did it. A great season. And I thank all the guys who worked with us. We started the team in February and we're off to a great start. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff who have always put in their commitment, professionalism and passion. They worked great and this title is theirs!”
