The second day of Rome Motodays goes to archive with a clearly growing audience: with the favor of a splendid sunny day, enthusiasts began to swarm the pavilions from early morning. There are many attractions offered by the Capitoline Motorcycle and Scooter Show: from new products on display to those to try for free on a tour around Rome Fair, from conferences on safety and mobility to shows in outdoor areas. The three-time world champion catalyzed the public's attention Freddie spencer, dominator of the MotoGP in the 1980s and testimonial of the tenth edition of Roma Motodays. The legendary driver from Louisiana today was the protagonist of an interesting meeting on stage with another champion: Emmanuel Pirro, a driver with a past in Formula 1, Touring Car and endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which he won five times.

"I have already been to Roma Motodays several times – said Emanuele Pirro -. As a Roman and a motor enthusiast I cannot miss such an occasion, and I am enthusiastic about the 'motorcycle days'. Our capital does not offer many initiatives for lovers of this sport, fortunately Fiera Roma fills this gap. I often have the impression that motor enthusiasts in Rome are decreasing, but then events that attract such a large audience make me think again, and I am very happy to meet so many people with a common passion". "My love for engines is all-round – added Pirro -. I really like motorcycles and they are an important part of my life. They accompany me on the track, where I often ride with Ducatis and off-road, but also on city streets, where I don't abandon my passion for enduro and ride with the Honda 250 XR which I also use off-road“. Emanuele Pirro also took advantage of Roma Motodays to meet Freddie Spencer, a motorcycling legend whom he had already met at the Goodwood Festival. “I believe Freddie Spencer is making a very important contribution to Roma Motodays – said Pirro -. He is a simple person and ready to joke, despite the seriousness he has always shown on the track. His passion for motorbikes is contagious, and he pays great attention to their supporters. Situations that bring great champions closer to the public are good for motorsport, especially when faced with legends like Freddie Spencer, from whom all champions should take an example: the deep bond with the public, the total availability and the absence of presumption".

From this year Roma Motodays is a partner of the CIV, the Italian speed championship which will start in less than a month: the new season will start with round 1 from the Misano World Circuit on April 7th, and while waiting to go down to track, the provisional entry lists of the Championship in all classes were announced today, for a total of over 150 registered drivers. The presentation took place in the presence of Filippo Redaelli, General Director of Total Italia, representing the title sponsor of the Championship: ELF.
