Pirelli SCORPION Trail II, off road and road come together

SCORPION Trail II – Pirelli has chosen the new successor to the SCORPION Trail, its enduro street tire, creating a perfect mix between off road and road. The new SCORPION Trail II was designed for the most demanding motorcyclists and for the demanding expectations of the market, among its strong points are the high mileage, the consistency of performance for the entire life cycle, behavior on wet surfaces first-rate, the aggressive look, the handling, the comfort and much more.

The SCORPION Trail II were designed for the passenger segment adventure tours and enduro street, where motorcyclists' expectations are always high and where motorcycle manufacturers continue to invest by launching new, increasingly high-performance models on the market. The new Pirelli tires are intended for the Ducati Multistrada, the Aprilia Caponord, the BMW R 1200 GS, the Triumph Tiger, the KTM 1190 Adventure, the Honda Crosstourer, the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré, the Kawasaki Versys and the Suzuki V-Strom.

In recent years the enduro street segment has become one of the most important on the market and Pirelli has decided to develop tires with increasingly road performance but with an off-road look, with particular attention to ease of use in different road conditions. Precisely for this reason the SCORPION line was born, enriched by the experience gained by Pirelli with the development of ANGEL GT, one of Pirelli's best sport touring tires and considered the reference in its segment. The side grooves of the new SCORPION Trail II have been designed to guarantee optimal drainage in case of rain while the layout and shape a “open track” of the central ones not only contributes to water drainage but also ensures better traction, greater solidity and more regular wear.

With the SCORPION Trail II dual-compound technology will be applied to all rear tires in the range, which is thus added to the wider central compound band in which a compound is used capable of guaranteeing greater mileage without compromising performance during bending and, above all, developed to offer excellent behavior in the wet. Thanks to a shorter and at the same time wider contact area, the profile of the SCORPION Trail II helps to reduce and uniform tread wear, thus guaranteeing a higher mileage. Again with the application of new profiles it was possible to increase the manageability which remains unchanged throughout the entire life cycle of the product. All this also to the advantage of traction and better control of the power of your vehicle.
