Pirelli P Zero Race and P Zero Road: new tires for cycling enthusiasts [PHOTO]

Pirelli announces the arrival of a new family of compact bicycle tires, a proposal P Zero™ declined in P Zero Race designed for performance and in the all-round type P Zero Road.

P Zero Race

A clincher came later P Zero Race TLR e Race TLR SL and designed to enhance performance.
Considering the tread, the tire is identical to the Tubeless Ready version, as in the use of the compound. It is developed with the new SmartEVO Compound linked to the brand's experience in developing a ternary blend of functionalized polymers, which is the basis of the properties of SmartEVO. Each of the three polymers offers certain performances based on a balance of characteristics such as grip and smoothness. A refinement of grip is achieved in dry and wet conditions and limited rolling resistance, with a focus on handling and dynamism.

The construction of the carcass is new Nylon da 120 TPI, developed for use with an inner tube and taking into account the new rim standards 19c ETRTO. Considering the construction and adaptation to new standards, each size of P ZERO Race includes a wider tread than the P ZERO Speed corresponding. The carcass is characterized by a more extensive protection belt. An additional layer of TechBelt Road Aramid fabric, underneath the compound, which increases puncture protection in different situations of use, as indicated.

P Zero Road

The new range also includes the clincher P Zero Road, a tire with performance aimed at durability, always keeping comfort and smoothness in mind. A multi-purpose all-round example, structured in accordance with the latest rims.
The difference from the specimen P Zero Race it can be seen from the tread design which has closer and longer grooves, therefore in the EVO Compound compound which allows it to be more versatile. One example promises low rolling resistance, comfort, grip and durability, as indicated.

The new casing construction requires the use of recommended pressures and appropriate rims. Therefore for the new P Zero Race and P Zero Road, Pirelli offers detailed and precise indications on the actual dimensions in relation to the rim and on the inflation pressures required based on the rim channel used and the weight of the cyclist, as reported.

In measurements from 24, 26, 28 e 30 millimeters, in black version or with crepe sides (Classic), P Zero Race it will soon also be available in a Color Edition version: yellow, red or white. This new clincher is available in the best cycling shops and online at the price of 59,90 euros.
P Zero Road it is available in the black variant, in sizes from 24, 26, 28 mm, to 39,90 euro.
