Various new features for sports customers

A summary dedicated to the brand's new creations introduced in the racing range

A wider range, made up of new sizes and compounds for some tyres, characterizes the proposal racing signed Pirelli for the 2020.

The newness

A brand that has long been linked to track activity and, in particular, with a consistent and long-standing presence in FIM Superbike World Championship, as mentioned.
For those who compete on scooters, Pirelli has created the tire DIABLO ROSSO™ SCOOTER SC in two sizes 100/90 – 12 M / C 64P TL front and 120/80 – 12 M / C 55P TL twelve inch rear, also functional for pitbikes, minitards and miniGPs, taking up the indications. Among the interesting aspects are the peculiar profiles and a tread design that takes inspiration from the DIABLO ROSSO™ SCOOTER. It is approved for road use with optimized use also on the track. The compound features a high degree of Carbon Black, functional to speed up warm-up and with "tear resistance" qualities, again considering what has been reported.
Moving on to motorcycles and the "street-legal carved range" there are news related to DIABLO™ SUPERCORSA SC, now also with a new compound SC3 which, like the renewed DIABLO™ SUPERBIKE SC3, strengthens its use and versatility also considering the different types of asphalt. The treaded DIABLO™ SUPERCORSA includes the aforementioned SC3 compound front and rear in the renewed range.
The strengthening of the proposal also includes the PHANTOM™ SPORTSCOMP RS, intended for classic racing motorcycles "with eighteen-inch hubs", distinguishable by the vintage tread of the PHANTOM™ SPORTSCOMP and an advanced technology designed for tires to be used on the track.
Also approved for road use, this racing tire is developed for sprint and classic endurance races and is available in the dimensions 110/80 R 18 M/C 85V TL front and 130/70 R 18 M/C 63V TL and 150/70 R 18 M/C 70V TL behind.
Among the aspects highlighted: "rapid warm-up and a breadth of the operating temperature spectrum such as to allow entry onto the track even without having used tyrewarmers." The profile is double radius evaluating historical type chassis, with a footprint area optimized to transmit "control" in the front area and consistency in the progression phase, still taking in information. The draining tread design with references to the past is also functional.
Finally, in the sector of production derivatives, we note the introduction of new larger sizes among slick tyres DIABLO™ SUPERBIKE, which amplify the overall performance qualities together with the new compounds "with a broader spectrum of use". The increased sizes are 125/70 R 17 and 200/65 R 17 for the SBK class and 190/60 R 17 for the SSP600 class. Therefore, new sizes 110/70 R 17 and 140/70 R 17 designed for the SSP300 class are also mentioned; as well as the new SCX compound which represents a cross between a qualifying compound and the latest evolution of the renowned Soft (SC0), proposed in the rear size 200/65 R 17. Then the aforementioned SC3, in multiple sizes for the front and rear wheel . In light of the brand's experience and remembering the appropriate pressure setting in terms of performance, the DIABLO™ SUPERBIKE SC3 has been designed to be used on the track even without using tyrewarmers, as indicated.
