Pirelli MT 60 RS – Pirelli MT 60 RS is the new tire designed by Pirelli for Ducati Scrambler, the latest model launched on the market by the Borgo Panigale company in four versions Icon, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic.

The 3,00'' x 18'' front and 5,50'' x 17'' rear rims of the Ducati Scrambler have been designed to be even lighter and will mount the new tyres, specially made for this new Ducati model, enduro street Pirelli MT 60 RS 110/80 R18 at the front and 180/55 R17 at the rear. The Pirelli MT 60 RS combine sporty road performance with traction even on unpaved roads.

The tread pattern of the Pirelli MT 60 RS was designed specifically for the Scrambler and for this reason presents some larger and variable sized dowels along the circumferential development, thus giving life to a design over multiple steps compared to the single-pitch one that characterized the tire at its birth, which means a significant decrease in the full/empty ratio and an increase in the contact surface with reduction of the mobility of the block. Among the main benefits we have: reducing braking distance thanks to the work of the front tire and greater stability both on straight lines and when cornering. Finally, thanks to the multi-pitch tread design also the noise generated by the rolling of the tyre on asphalt it is noticeably decreased compared to the original Pirelli MT 60 RS.

The news was also interesting mixes them. For the front tyre, a radial with a 0° steel belt, a compound that derives directly from road sports was used Diablo Rosso II, with a balanced content of Silica and Carbon Black, which ensures a characteristic of dynamic driving, with high grip on both dry and wet surfaces. At the rear, however, the choice fell on a sport touring-derived compound with a high silica content, which guarantees long distances and high grip on wet surfaces.
