Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa: final stages of development for the SP and SC versions of the fourth generation

The development and testing phases of the fourth generation of tires are nearing completion Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa, in the road variant SP and in the one designed for use on the track SC in different compounds. Availability is expected frombeginning of 2023.

The fourth generation

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP represents a reference example when it comes to technological transfer from the track to the road, sharing with the SC variant the profiles and different materials and technologies used for the structure. Compared to the SC type, which uses full racing compounds, the SP version is equipped with a dual-compound solution, a racing type on the shoulders and a road one in the central band, given the needs of road use and appropriate mileage.
Offered in various compounds designed to adapt to changing asphalt and temperature conditions, the SC track version represents the first choice for professional, semi-professional or amateur riders who want a carved model that promotes high performance on the track.
Through Diablo Supercorsa V4, the Milanese brand defines the renewal of the fourth generation of the Diablo sports range, undertaken in 2021 with Diablo Rosso IV and continued in 2022 with Diablo Rosso IV Corsa. The designation V4 underlines the fourth generation.

It is a sports product created thanks to Pirelli's experience in the FIM Superbike World Championship. The brand has been the sole supplier since 2004. After the launch of Diablo Superbike in 2005, a slick type for use on the track, in 2007 Pirelli introduced the grooved racing tires Diablo Supercorsa SC (which over time became a reference in the Supersport and Superstock categories), followed in 2008 by the SP version (Sport Production).
The SP version represented further progress in the panorama of road tires for sports motorcycles, that of racing-derived hypersport products aimed at sports-type road motorcycles.
