Pirelli Diablo Superbike PRO, a tire born... in competition

Pirelli DIABLO Superbike PRO, a tire born in 2009 directly from Pirelli's experience in the Superbike championships and developed for training sessions on the track and for track days, is now available in new dual-compound rear size 200/55 R17 and in an updated version of the 120/70 R17 front which now has more high-performance compounds and profiles. This slick tire is intended for Track use only, designed to offer maximum performance, durability and excellent grip.

The new tyre front 120/70 R17 has been updated based on the latest developments made to the DIABLO Supercorsa SC. Compared to the previous version, the new product has a updated compound and a more aggressive profile which improves handling and guarantees a larger contact surface capable of offering more grip, stability and trajectory precision when cornering and in full lean.

The new tyre rear 200/55 R17 replaces the current 190/55 R17 size. Structures and profiles are similar to those used in the DIABLO Supercorsa SC so as to work perfectly in sync with the front tire to offer balanced behavior and easy set-up. The benefits derived from the combination of the structure with the profile are the same obtained on the front tire with the additional advantage of subjecting the compound to a lower level of stress thanks to a larger contact surface. This allowed us to work on the compounds to increase grip while maintaining the advantages offered by the previous product in terms of durability, consistency and ease of set-up.

Now the rear size 200/55 R17 is a dual compound with a ratio of 35%-30%-35%: the central compound extends for 30% of the tire profile, while the shoulder compound covers 35% of the upper profile each side. The compound present in the central section guarantees characteristics of duration and temperature maintenance, while the shoulder compound derives from that of the DIABLO Supercorsa SC2 and significantly increases grip when leaning.

The new tire also allows you to enjoy a easier set-up, very similar to that guaranteed by grooved super sports tyres. To make 100% use of it, simply set the best set-up based on your driving style. The sports-derived structure was developed to ensure a uniform temperature and regular wear during repeated sessions on the track, guaranteeing stability in performance and durability of the tyre.

DIABLO Superbike PRO is recognizable by the longitudinal red line on the tread and for the red "PRO" logo on the side of the tyre, it is available on the front in the 120/70 R17 size and on the rear in the 180/55 R17 sizes and in the new 200/55 R17.
