Pirelli Cup: a new event in the Italian Speed ​​Cup calendar

Pirelli – An interesting novelty is included in the next Motorsport calendar. In fact, 2018 will see the birth of Pirelli Cup, the new national speed trophy for 600cc and 1000cc motorcycles organized by Ideal Gomme Events in collaboration with the Motoclub Derapassion Biker's. Inserted in the official calendar of Italian Speed ​​Cup will be on stage on the tracks that have always been the scene of the most exciting challenges in motorsport such as Misano, Vallelunga and Mugello.

The calendar includes a total of six events, including a double round for a total of seven races.
A new challenge for Ideal Gomme Eventi which, thanks to decades of experience in the competition sector, is ready to offer drivers and teams a single championship in terms of regulations and suitable for all levels of experience. The competition will be characterized by simple and clear rules to leave room for fun, competition and the only impartial and decisive judge in racing: the stopwatch. A championship in which everyone can be a protagonist, with absolute and special rankings for homogeneous categories in terms of experience and ability.

The Classe 600 will adopt Pirelli DiabloTM Supercorsa SC V2 sizes 120/70/17 front – 180/60/17 rear. The use of a maximum of 3 rears and 2 fronts per race weekend in SC1 compound is permitted. The possibility of using the SC0 compound will only be given for a rear cover exclusively in a qualifying session.

In the 1000 Class the Pirelli DiabloTM Superbikes will be used, sizes 120/70/17 front – 200/60/17 rear. The use of a maximum of 3 rears and 2 fronts per race weekend in SC1 compound is permitted. Possibility of using SC0 compound only for a rear cover exclusively in a qualifying session. At the driver's discretion, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC V2 tires may be used in the same manner as the 600 class.
