The news

Pirelli right from the start it appeared as a technical partner in the supply of tyres, as well as being a sponsor of the championship and also a marketing partner, contributing to the identity of this World Championship, which made it recognizable compared to other motorcycling challenges.

The brand has also been a precursor and interpreter of market trends, constantly creating new innovative solutions from a technological point of view, to the point of defining standards and reference parameters in the development of racing tyres. In the 2013 Pirelli was the first in motorsport to abandon 16,5-inch tires to adopt new specifications 17 inches, a measure now widespread among road motorcycles. In the 2018 we moved on to larger sizes, from 125/70 in the front and from 200/65 in the rear area; therefore more recently new types in soft compounds have been introduced, such as the SCX extension , SCQ, which promote high performance.

With this confirmation a long collaboration continues 20 years. A solid relationship between Pirelli, Dorna, the FIM, the teams and the riders, which is based on the quality and performance of the Milanese brand's solutions.
