Younger people and holders of only a B license will be able to choose the version equipped with the single cylinder 125 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled and electronic injection: a unit that reaches absolute reference power and maximum torque values ​​for the category, which translate into prompt and regular acceleration and recovery and in a large one driving fluidity.

The most experienced and knowledgeable scooter riders – constantly searching for the highest synthesis between performance, compactness and low consumption – they will instead orient themselves towards the very new Piaggio 350 engine. From the early stages of designing this single-cylinder four-stroke, four-valve and latest-generation electronic injection engine, Piaggio engineers favored refined technical solutions - such as the distribution with roller rocker arms and calibrated pads for adjusting the valve clearance, the dry sump lubrication system and multi-disc centrifugal clutch in oil bath – which place it at the top of technology in the field of scooter engines.

The combination of these solutions has allowed us to obtain a maximum shaft power comparable to that of a 400 cc (24,5 kW, 33,3 hp) and a great value maximum torque (32,3 Nm, 3,3 kgm) , maintaining the dimensions, weight and consumption of a 300 and with costs of maintenance even lower: the interventions are in fact scheduled to 20.000 km intervals, with only the replacement of oil and filters every 10.000 km.

Chassis and braking system

The new Piaggio X10 adopts first-rate cycling solutions, which favor the comfort , stability on long distances without making compromises in terms of agility, maneuverability and ease of driving. The latter is positioned on the right side of the vehicle and is connected to the frame through a progressive linkage. The preload, which optimizes the set-up according to the load and the type of driving desired, can be adjusted without leaving the vehicle simply acting on command up and down, placed in the countershield and viewable on the instrument via a digital indicator.

The magnificent 5-spoke wheels they have different diameters and are fitted with generously sized tyres: the front 15 " accommodates a 120/70 tire; the rear from 13 " he wears a 150/70 one.

Piaggio X10 It features a refined braking system with dual 280 mm front discs e single 240mm rear disc. The system is standard on all versions combined braking which can be integrated, optionally, with the double system ABS / ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation).

Piaggio X10 is the only one in its category to have the rear wheel anti-slip system: evenASR uses the electronics and ABS sensors to compare the rotation speed of the two wheels. When the sensors detect an excessive speed of the rear speed, the control unit intervenes (first on the advance and then, if necessary, also on the injection) to prevent skidding and avoid losing control of the vehicle.

The system ASR can be deactivated through the button on the back shield, in order to guarantee the possibility of disengaging even in particular conditions, such as starting uphill or on dirt or poor grip surfaces, but it switches back on automatically at each subsequent start.

A further safety element of the new Piaggio X10 is the presence of parking brake integrated into the side stand (present on X10 350 and 500): every time the crutch is removed, the brake is activated automatically, keeping the X10 stable and safe even when stopping on uneven terrain.

Color variants and fittings

In addition to the standard version, the new Piaggio X10 (in all three engine sizes) is available in the trim level Executive: the latter is distinguished by the richer standard equipment, which also provides the ABS system and the ASR.

The chromatic variations of the X10 125 and 350 include Mercury brown, Orione gray and Midnight blue (all three with black interiors and saddle), to which is added Cosmo black with dark brown interiors and saddle.

The same color variants are also available for the X10 125, 350 and 500 in the Executive trim levels, to which is added a splendid pearl white with dark brown interior and saddle.

The range of accessories, specially designed for this model, is very rich:
