Piaggio MP3: a new design, a technological evolution in multiple versions

The new variants of Piaggio MP3, the technological three-wheeled scooter, are: Piaggio MP3 400 hpe e Piaggio MP3 400 hpe Sport both powered by a 400 cc engine with a power of just over 35 horsepower; then to the top Piaggio MP3 530 hpe Exclusive with a new 530 hpe engine and significant power in the category that just exceeds 44 horsepower.

A new range

Piaggio MP3 represents a bridge between the automotive and scooter panoramas, bringing together the qualities of both these worlds.
From an aesthetic point of view, the new examples appear sportier with further references to the automotive side, noting the finishes and attention to detail. Among the connotative aspects, the new lighting system also stands out full-LED and the new front shield, the result of a study focused on optimizing protection from the air.
The scooters are equipped with a keyless system, a large seven-inch color instrument panel with connection via the application PIAGGIO MIA and systems ABS e ASR. A revised saddle-handlebar-footpeg triangulation is also highlighted and, according to information, the saddle pad with electric opening can contain two full-face helmets.

The flagship version Piaggio MP3 530 hpe Exclusive it is the first three-wheeled scooter with devices of this type ARAS – Advanced Rider Assistance System, given a driving assistance platform based on 4D Imaging Radar technology developed by Piaggio Fast Forward, the Piaggio Group's robotics company. Sensors have been defined for use on a scooter and ARAS devices support active safety, in light of the functions Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) e Lane Change Decision Aid System (LCDAS).

Il CLOSE indicates to the driver the presence of vehicles in the blind spot, through certain signals. By controlling the area behind up to 30/35 meters away, the function LCDAS it can also identify vehicles that are approaching at speed, with further signals as indicated.
The new Piaggio MP3 530 hpe Exclusive also features a cruise control system that can be managed via the new electric controls on the handlebar and three riding modes Eco, Comfort e Sport with a different response to the throttle command Ride-by-Wire and a calibration of the anti-skid system ASR.
Among the highlighted functions there is also one reverse gear integrated by one rear camera.
