Piaggio MP3 Hybrid 300 ie, new generation ecological motorcycle

After the 125 variant, Piaggio decreed the need to combine a second variant of the scooter which boasts two peculiar and extraordinary characteristics: it has three tires and a strong ecological connotation. We were saying, second configuration: MP3 Hybrid also becomes 300 ie and offers the buyer similar performance - says the manufacturer's press release - to a 400 cubic centimeter scooter.

The line, as you can see at first glance, remains the same. It is more correct, therefore, to pay attention to the eco-friendly feature: the 278 cubic centimeters, four-stroke, liquid-cooled thermal combustion engine is joined by an electric unit: calculating the data provided by the motorcycle manufacturer, the new Piaggio MP3 Hybrid 300 ie delivers 28,5 horsepower and 42,5 Nm of maximum torque.

One of the most interesting features of the tricycle is the fact that Plug-In technology is now provided, i.e. the possibility of charging not only through braking or deceleration, but also through connection to the traditional electricity grid, to new carbon ion batteries lithium, placed under the saddle, where, however, there is a useful compartment for storing a helmet and the presence of a 12V socket for charging electrical equipment.

Piaggio MP3 Hybrid 300 ie is equipped, in the same way as its small 124 cubic centimeter predecessor, with a ride-by-wire system, an electronic aid that allows you to switch to four different driving modes - two electric, two hybrid - via the simple press of a button on the right side of the handlebar.

What about the ecological proportion? The manufacturer guarantees truly remarkable qualities of friendship with Mother Nature: the common thread with the external environment, Piaggio MP3 Hybrid 300 ie reiterates it with a fuel consumption that is between 30 and 60 kilometers per liter, while the emissions of CO2 stops at 40 grams per kilometer travelled.
