Piaggio: the offensive at EICMA 2015 is based on style and technique [PHOTO]

Piaggio – Piaggio brings its entire range to EICMA. Of particular note is the Piaggio Beverly which exhibits an elegant and distinctive look, a guarantee of safety and performance. Offered in 125 and 300 cc displacements, both with electronic injection, Beverly stands out for its agility, reliability and safety.

The front of the Piaggio Beverly catches the eye through the double parabolic headlight unit and the direction indicators integrated with the innovative LED position lights surround the characteristic chrome "tie" located in the center of the shield. The tail, however, is slender and streamlined, and ends with modern and refined rear lights, characterized by LED position and brake lights. The innovative use of colors and materials gives the Beverly an automotive flavor. The two-tone bodywork, which, in the Beverly 300, alternates colored parts with inserts painted in aluminum color and, in the S version, in glossy black to enhance its sportiness, joins the coordinated package of the seat and interior of the vehicle. The double cradle frame in high-strength steel tubes and pressed sheet metal adopts a traditional fork with 35 mm diameter legs at the front, while at the rear works a pair of double-acting shock absorbers and coil spring with adjustable preload on 4 positions specially developed for this model, which guarantee optimal absorption of imperfections in the road surface, while ensuring a neutral and precise set-up of the vehicle. The 300 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, electronic injection engine of the Piaggio Beverly provides a maximum power of 22,2 HP at 7.250 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 23 Nm at just 5.750 rpm. On the Beverly, the 125 engine is also equipped with electronic injection, for the benefit of a significant reduction in consumption. In both engine sizes the Beverly therefore proves to be fast, agile and spirited, smooth to drive thanks to the injection, but also silent and respectful of the environment. Beverly 300 is available in Pearl White and Ocean Blue colours. Beverly 125S/300S is available, however, in the colors Matt Carbon Black, Matt Nebula Grey, Star White.

After 18 years, Piaggio Liberty is reborn completely new and does so, for example, with the ABS braking system, standard on the 125 and 150cc versions. New engines, new ergonomics, new active safety systems, new elegant lines are accompanied by large diameter wheels which, since the first Liberty example, gave a compact scooter dynamic safety. The dimensions are growing and with them the comfort in the saddle, new and technological engines are arriving, the diameter of the front wheel is growing and thus the active safety margins are increasing.  The new family of Piaggio iGet engines makes its debut on the new Liberty in the air-cooled version, units that represent the state of the art in their respective displacement segments. THEThe new Liberty comes in three different engines, 50, 125 and 150cc, to satisfy every mobility need, having as common points the brilliance of the performances in the respective displacement classes, the quality and reliability of the engines, the economy of operation and the containment of emissions, including noise.
