Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF), a company controlled by Piaggio Group of which it represents the most advanced research center on the mobility of the future, received the prestigious award Good Design Awards 2017, one of the first and most famous international awards dedicated to design. PFF was awarded this important recognition in the Robotics category thanks to Trip, considered a revolutionary and visionary project. Gita is not just a robot with a futuristic design, but is characterized by aspects such as innovation, technology, sustainability, creativity, responsibility towards the environment, cutting-edge materials and functionality. Gita, fully respecting these criteria, was recognized for its singular excellence and ability to stand out among contemporary design proposals.

Founded in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, Edgar Kaufmann Jr. and reaching their 67th edition this year, the Good Design Awards are organized by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and are the result of a long selection of the best design proposals. Every year hundreds of companies from all over the world apply by proposing industrial, commercial or graphics projects: the categories range from electronics to means of transport, from furniture to sports equipment, from graphic design to robotics.

The Good Design Awards is the third prestigious recognition received in 2017 by Piaggio Fast Forward with the Gita project: in May it was awarded at the MITX Awards 2017 in the Disruptive Genius – Company category and in September it became part of the “Top 100 Most Innovative and Disruptive Construction Companies” in the Robotics category of the international newspaper Disruptor Daily.

Trip e Kilo they are the first innovative projects for the future of mobility presented last February in Boston by Piaggio Fast Forward. The revolution lies in the support that they will be able to give to people in the various activities that characterize their movements in everyday life, effectively expanding their range of action. They are in fact conceived as a real platform for mobility, which can be customized and integrated to meet different needs in multiple scenarios.
