Piaggio Fast Forward was awarded at the MITX AWARDS as Discruptive Genius Company

Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF), a company established and controlled by the Piaggio Group and an advanced American research center on the mobility of the future, was awarded at the 2017 MITX Awards in the Disruptive Genius – Company category.

The MITX Awards, now in their twenty-first edition, represent an important annual American competition in the technology and innovation sector. Piaggio Fast Forward received the coveted Disruptive Genius – Company award for standing out “in unconventional innovative thinking, for having been the first to explore new frontiers and for having promoted the innovation economy with its work”. Michele Colaninno, President of PFF commented: “Deeply understanding the mobility of people and goods in an increasingly technological future: this is the path that led us to create GITA and KILO. We have understood that we must create products in line with the needs of tomorrow's men, and we do it through men. Success stories are made by people and the PFF team is proof of this. "

Piaggio Fast Forward presented its first innovative projects, GITA and KILO, in Boston last February. They are intelligent vehicles designed to improve mobility productivity in increasingly complex urban developments. They observe, communicate and help, with a payload of up to 100 kilograms at an autonomy of 20 kilometers in an urban circuit. They can accompany a person, map their surroundings and monitor what is moving around. The technology installed allows GITA and KILO to also move autonomously.

The revolution of GITA and KILO lies in the support that they will be able to give to people in the various activities that characterize their movements in everyday life, effectively expanding their range of action. They are, in fact, conceived as a real platform for mobility, which can be customized and integrated to meet different needs in multiple scenarios.
