Peugeot: unveils the long-awaited eM02 FS Powertube
The 500 Wh Bosch motor and battery offer a range of up to 125 kilometers
Peugeot takes away the veil from the long awaited eM02 FS Powertube, The new mountain bike with electric assistance which anticipates the next generation of eBikes signed by the Lion brand.
Multipurpose, thanks to its double suspension and a new frame with integrated battery that allows it to have a fluid and elegant design, this bicycle is the ideal companion on challenging mountain routes. eM02 FS is an acronym and its meaning is easily understandable: e=electric M=Mountain, 02=heart of the range, FS=Full Suspension. Designed for Enduro and off-road, this new mountain bike will be revealed alongside the Peugeot Rifter 4X4 Concept il next March 6th Geneva International Motor Show. The front suspension e back and the 27,5-inch wheels guarantee comfort and make it easier to travel on dirt roads. The engine and the 500 Wh Bosch battery offerautonomy up to 125 kilometers. Its satin anodized yellow color refers to the style of the Peugeot Rifter 4X4 Concept. Offered in two versions starting from €4 VAT included, this multipurpose electric mountain bike will be on sale from March 599.
“The new eM02 FS Powertube aims to extend the success of Peugeot eMountain mountain bikes, equipped by BOCH with lithium ion batteries and the Performance CX engine. It also foreshadows the future of PEUGEOT eBikes. The positioning of the new Bosch compact battery inside the frame is optimal for the balance of the bike with a low center of gravity. It makes changing the battery easier and protects it from the accumulation of dirt which is inevitable in off-road use. The integrated components give the bike a dynamic and fluid style,” said Cathal Loughnane, Director of Peugeot Design Lab.
