Peugeot e-Vivacity at the 2010 Motor Show

Al Motor Show 2010, not just cars, although these are the main protagonists of the motoring event, but also two-wheeled vehicles. The motorcycle company Peugeot , for example, showed the electric scooter in Bologna e-Vivacity, following the participation in the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, Eicma 2010.

Lo Peugeot scooters is positioned at the 2010 Motor Show inside the stand of the Leone manufacturer (which is part of the PSA Group) in pavilion 29 and inside pavilion 30, in the Electric City space dedicated to ecological mobility. The e-Vivacity project, however, is not the exclusive prerogative of the event (and before that of Milan) nor of the current year: it was 2009, when it electric scooter appeared among the proposals of the motoring market, in the form of concept. Today, we are certain of its marketing, which will take place in the first half of 2011, next year, when e-Vivacity will reach the range Vivacity tout court, internal combustion.

Peugeot e-Vivacity it is a completely electric scooter: its low weight, around 115 kilograms, allows it to travel with just one full tank of electric energy, approximately 45 kilometers of urban journeys or approximately 60 kilometers at constant speed. There lithium ion battery of the scooter, presented at the 2010 Motor Show, needs around five hours to complete charging with the traditional home network: the ecological system of Peugeot e-Vivacity - they assure - will resist a thousand charging-unloading cycles. The kinetic energy will be collected and reused, thanks to the device KERS, while driving, but it will also be possible to travel, with the new e-Vivacity, in mode energy saving, at low speed.
