Peugeot: four new electric bicycles will be revealed in Paris

Peugeot means cars, scooters, but also bicycles. The French company has chosen the Paris Motor Show, which will open on October 4, to present four new models: the eLC01, a pedal-assisted urban bicycle from the LEGEND series, with a neo-retro design; the eT01 FS trekking bikes; the eT01 PowerTube and the eR02 PowerTube road bike.

Here is the Peugeot eLC01

The eLC01 is a city bike that has all the ingredients to become a best-seller, with its neo-retro style and electric assistance for pedal assistance. Modern and technological, the eLC01 is easy to drive. It has an effective eight-speed transmission and has a range of up to 70 kilometres. It is equipped with disc brakes, easy to handle and agile in the city thanks to its compactness, and ensures optimal comfort with the spring seat. Its practical Racktime luggage rack allows you to quickly attach the load to the bicycle. Its neo-retro style, signed by the Peugeot Design Lab, will be an additional element of interest. The architecture of its frame, with a single rear pillar that integrates the rear wheel and the luggage rack, recalls the legendary models of the 50s, 60s and 70s. The emblematic pedal set with the triple Lion characterizes this model. Its White, Blue, Orange, Green and Aubergine colors refer to the iconic models of the Brand. The eLC01 bike will be marketed at the price of 1.399 euros including VAT.

The other models in the Peugeot range

In addition to the eLC01, Peugeot offers other new Trekking and Route models equipped with the integrated Bosch PowerTube battery, foreshadowing the future of electric-assist bikes. The Peugeot eT01 PowerTube are multi-purpose electric-assist mountain bikes. The eT01 FS model has a rear suspension that complements the front cushioning. The eT01 model is offered with a mixed or men's frame and front cushioning. The Peugeot eR02 PowerTube is a road bike with electric assistance but which allows you to go off road routes and overcome Alpine passes. It is available with a racing setup with curved handlebars or with straight “flat bar” handlebars. PowerTube bikes feature the latest generation Bosch batteries integrated into the frame. The low center of gravity gives balance and agility to the two wheels. The extraction of the battery from above protects it from the accumulation of dirt and the Bosch motors guarantee performance and reliability.
