Patrolline PatrolBike: a protection solution designed for bikes, e-bikes and electric scooters

With the increased use of bicycles traditional, e-bike e electric scooters it also reflects on possible eventualities such as the risk of theft or accidents. Patrolline has developed a system that responds to this, a device called PatrolBike.

The system

Patrolline, a leading company in the production of security systems and electronic alarms, introduces a compact device to the market to protect vehicles and enthusiasts “smart mobility”.

In addition to anti-theft solutions, Patrolline Group's integrated proposal also includes optional insurance coverage for those who drive vehicles. Through an agreement with the insurance broker Mansutti SpA present in Italy since 1925, two policies are offered with costs starting from 2,5 euros per month (1 euro for the first month of activation): the first for
damage caused to third parties during the use of bicycles, eBikes and electric scooters and a second against traffic accidents.
Returning to the device, the Como company has created a antitheft for eBikes and bicycles which can be hidden inside the handlebars. A solution with a weight of 50 grams, GPS locator, integrated vibration sensor, rechargeable battery via USB, free internet connection for two years and a dedicated control App.

This system allows the user to know where their vehicle is at all times. Once activated, it is possible to monitor its position through the App and, in case of movement, the system automatically sends an alert message. Given the partnership with Viasat, an Italian company that deals with satellite telematics solutions dedicated to security, it is possible to activate an additional 24-hour monitoring service which, if a movement were to occur, sends a real-time alarm notification to the Operations Centre. A technological service that also directly involves the police for the recovery of the vehicle, as reported.
