Ofo: move quickly and with 0 emissions on the streets of Milan

ofo – The phenomenon of. seems to know no limits bike sharing. In this sense Ofo, the world's first platform for free floating bike sharing, continues its penetration into the streets of Milan, so much so that it has become a partner of two important city initiatives: Milan Film Festival e Shape Europe 2017.

Born in China in 2014 and with 8 million bikes on the road - 20 million expected by 2018 - ofo bike sharing occupies 52% of the market share, and is present in 170 cities in 9 countries, which will increase to include 2020 countries by 30. There are 13.000.000 kilometers traveled per day on board ofo bikes and 3.000 tonnes of carbon dioxide saved per day with over 3 billion journeys. The ofo bikes, robust and comfortable, equipped with three-speed gearbox, solid puncture-proof covers, soft saddle and comfortable grips – with integrated bell – which limit the vibrations typical of rough roads, all features welcomed with great enthusiasm by the Milanese. The geometry of the frame (distances and angles between saddle, steering and pedals), in addition to making the bicycle incredibly versatile, facilitates sharp turns, changes of direction and U-turns, avoiding the unpleasant proximity between knees and very frequent steering. The features of the Ofo bike are completed by the almost complete cabling inside the frame.

Thanks to the appropriate app (available for both iOS and Android devices), you can book your bike at any time: once downloaded, it allows you to immediately geolocate the nearest ofo bike and, once reached, just scan the QR code to unlock the smart lock and go. Once you have reached your destination and parked your bicycle, simply close the smart lock to end your ride.

The first official appointment for Ofo yellow bicycles with the city of Milan is the 22nd edition of Milan Film Festival, the largest cinematographic event in the city, in terms of size and number of films involved, within which it will be possible to have many exclusive services and promos.
