The exhaust system

Officine Italiane Zard has thought of different options to configure the Zuma and obtain a product that is as tailor-made as possible, being able to choose between a terminal with a stainless steel finish or a sportier version with a matt black ceramic coating. The Zard tag and caseback are offered in three different finishes: bronzed, black or brushed stainless steel as standard.

The design of the Zuma is connotative and over the years it has embellished the aesthetics of well-known scrambler and roadster models from manufacturers such as Ducati and Moto Guzzi. Officine Italiane Zard returns to propose it combined with an example with characteristics also suitable for off-road activity, which draws inspiration from the historical panorama of the enduro protagonists of the Californian Baja races. The Zuma has been redesigned for the latest model year and Euro 5 approval.

The Zuma slip-on system for Ducati Scrambler® Desert Sled appears as a stainless steel silencer with connections to the original manifolds, also developed with the same material. The entire development process is completed by Officine Italiane Zard in Italy at the Baldichieri d'Asti factory. The design is cylindrical with details that enhance its vintage style, for example the Zard label developed in stainless steel and laser cut, in addition to the stainless steel case back.

The new exhaust is offered in a racing version and in the Euro 5 approved version. Compared to the original silencer, there is an interesting weight saving: the Zard Zuma weighs 2,1 kg in the approved model and 1,9 kg in the racing one, compared to 6,8 .XNUMX kg of the standard system. The Zuma silencer also contributes to the output of the Bolognese twin, given a noticeable increase in power at medium and high rpm, according to the information.
