New Yamaha Majesty S 125, the story continues

A mix of quality, convenience and ease of use...it's a Majesty

The name Majesty…do you need any introduction? It is certainly not as famous as "ours" from Pontedera, a local vehicle par excellence, but Yamaha Majesty has always been for years - and still is - a milestone in the history of modern scooters, with over 150.000 units sold for the models from 125cc to 180cc. The model has become synonymous with convenience and reliability, and in 2014 the new Majesty S is ready to add a touch of extra fun to a legendary reputation, to meet the needs of the new generations.

Yamaha, in the new Majesty S, wanted to offer a mix of quality, ease of use, and compactness; in short, a practical city scooter, designed for "commuters" who are looking for a convenient vehicle both in terms of consumption and price, and which in the meantime does not lose anything in terms of design and style.

The attention to ergonomics comes from wide platform and flat to place the classic shopping bag. There anatomical saddle, offers a natural and relaxed riding position, designed to put your feet on the ground quickly, and that's right because frequent stop-and-go traffic requires it. The passenger benefits from retractable footrests and a grab handle. Those who have loading needs will be able to count not only on the platform but also on numerous storage compartments. Under the seat there is space for a full-face helmet and other small objects, while in front of the rider there is a convenient storage compartment. For those who want more space, Yamaha offers its range of accessories.

Majesty S is powered by an advanced version of the proven engine originally developed for Xenter, a 125cc 4-stroke and 4-valve, SOHC and liquid cooled. An engine capable of offering rapid and spirited acceleration when starting from a standstill, and of preceding traffic. The efficiency of the electronic injection allows for notable fuel economy, even in the city.

Also new is the rear suspension of the Majesty S, which uses a horizontal monoshock absorber: The rear suspension design helps centralize mass, increasing agility. The progressive linkages make the suspension comfortable. The look is captivating, and credit also goes to the lightweight ones 13-inch alloy wheels with an elegant 5-spoke design, which help to contain unsprung weights and make the suspension action progressive and reactive. The brakes are 267mm with a daisy profile at the front with opposed piston calliper, while the rear disc is 245mm.

The new Majesty S will be available from the network of Yamaha Official Dealers and Scooter Stores starting from June 2014 in three different colours, Silky White, Mat Titan and Midnight Black, at the price of 3.290 euros FC
