New Ducati Monster 1200 R – The new Monster 1200 R was unveiled in Frankfurt by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, on the occasion of the Volkswagen Group Night.

With its 160 horsepower, the Monster 1200 R is the most powerful naked Ducati ever. The main features of the new Borgo Panigale naked bike are a Testastretta 11° DS twin-cylinder in the “R” version (EURO 4 approved) and a revised chassis to guarantee maximum effectiveness and fun on the track. Furthermore, the new design of the tail and the front also stylistically confirm the sporting vocation of this new version of the Monster.

In particular, the Testastretta DS twin-cylinder engine of the new Ducati Monster 1200 R also has a torque of 13,4 kgm for a dry weight of just 180 kg. Not to forget, then, the fork, monoshock absorber and steering damper all from Öhlins, while theThe electronic equipment includes 3 riding modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), ABS with 3 intervention levels and traction control with 8 settings. The mudguard is made of carbon fiber and the wheels are forged with a new three-spoke design. The new Ducati Monster 1200 R will be exhibited, as a world premiere for the public, from 15 to 20 September at the Audi stand at the IAA 2015 (Internationale Automobilausstellung) in Frankfurt and It will be available in Ducati Red and Thrilling Black.
