New 560 cc twin-cylinder engine

The new Yamaha TMAX 560 has been introduced, accompanied by another even more technological version called TMAX Tech MAX

Two versions, updated but still sporty and technological design, a more energetic thrust transmitted by a da engine 560 cc. The new ones introduced Yamaha TMAX e TMAX Tech Max, two renewed dynamic visions of the sports scooter by Iwata.

Features

Developed on a double-spar die-cast aluminum frame, it features a streamlined and aerodynamic hull. Confirm the typical proportions of the model. The modification of the plastics is functional, except for the fairing and the under-fairing tip, as is the renewed shield and the refinement of the peculiar side panel “boomerang”. The new front indicators are also distinctive LED integrated into the fairing, like the same type rear light LED which defines a "T", linked to a slimmer and renewed rear end thanks to the adoption of stylistic elements that refer to the Yamaha Hyper Naked e Supersport. The wheelbase amounts to 1.575 millimeters, the saddle height a 800 millimeters.
Among the technological aspects we mention a system “Smart Key” which allows you to unlock and start the vehicle without using a key, therefore an instrumentation that includes a speedometer and tachometer divided by a display TFT central unit with odometer, double tripmeter, fuel consumption and external temperature indicator. There are other warning lights for TCS e D-MODE, a dual response mode active together with the YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle). The illuminated storage compartment is functional and can accommodate a full-face helmet or possibly 2 jet helmets. The key compartment is waterproof, useful for storing other types of objects. The new TMAX it also includes a central stand locking system, linked to the Smart Key, which keeps the vehicle more stable when parked.
The new TMAX Tech MAXFurthermore, together with the high standard specifications such as the use of heated grips and saddle, it is equipped with a solution that favors connection via MyTMAX Connect, a mobile app that allows access to a GPS tracking system with geofence functions and trip reports, speed and low battery alarm and flash function, based on what is reported.
Then speaking of the chassis, optimized settings of the front and rear suspensions are indicated in the face of an increase in propulsive thrust. There is a motorcycle-type upside-down fork, while at the rear it includes a Monocross rear suspension unit. The braking system therefore includes a double disc brake at the front and a single element at the rear.

Motor

The twin-cylinder includes new forged aluminum pistons and redesigned connecting rods, the displacement has increased by 6% reaching 560 cc, as the bore size grew by 2 mm, to 70 mm. The weight of the masses in reciprocating motion is only 1% compared to the previous model, as reported. Torque and power increased by 6% respectively (55,7 Nm at 5.250 rpm) and 3,5% (35,0 kW at 7.500 rpm), translated into a more accentuated dynamism. Among other interesting aspects, the engine is a stressed element of the chassis, with a contained and horizontal layout, as well as functional considering a low center of gravity.
The approved engine Euro 5 It also features a redesigned combustion chamber and revised intake and exhaust valve timing. The intake valves are wider with a diameter of 27 mm. A new 12-nozzle injector was then repositioned on the side of the intake duct, sending the fuel to the rear of the throttle body. The 2 into 1 drain is inclined upwards. It is equipped with front and rear catalytic converters that use rhodium and platinum elements, as reported. The sound produced would also be refined, thanks to the 360° TMAX phasing. While dynamism is also linked to the new CVT belt in support of the transmission, with refinements also in the ratio scan and the engine.
Also developed Traction Control System (TCS), based on the renewed characteristics.

Colors, availability and prices

The new TMAX it is proposed in colours Icon Gray e Sword Gray, while TMAX Tech MAX in the exclusive Tech Camo and Sword Gray. The availability of both models is expected in Yamaha dealerships starting since December 2019. Always referring to the indications, according to the price list: for TMAX let's go from 11.999 euros FC TMAX Tech MAX from 13.799 euros FC
