New Yamaha R1 – The latest teaser video of Yamaha confirmed the imminent release of his new R1 superbike at the next edition of the EICMA in Milan. Born to promote a renamed campaign “WE R1” and the corresponding microsite www.yamaha-ci-r1.com, the video reveals the new dashboard of the R1. In the short video released online by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer it is clearly shown the display of the newborn superbike showing different setting options, chief among which are variable ride mode (mode A) and power settings (PWR 1), as well as traction control (TCS 3) and presumably a stability control system (SCS 3).

At the top of the display there also appears to be a Quickshifter (QS) indicator and a possible suspension indicator. Most noticeable is the gear position indicator, the digital speedometer, which reads a top speed of 262 km/h, while another interesting addition to the display is found on the right side of the screen, which most likely highlights an indicator displaying the weight transfer.

What else is in the teaser video by Yamaha? A guy named Valentino Rossi, who emerged victorious from the Australian MotoGP round at Phillip Island, who declared: “He wants to go faster” and the AMA Superbike world champion Josh Hayes who also compliments the new R1. Let's expect more information on November 3rd on the eve of EICMA 2014 when all the details of the new Japanese racing car will be released on the Yamaha website.
