New Triumph Speed Triple, a new spy photo appears on the web
It should debut in 2016
New Triumph Speed Triple – A new spy photo has appeared online featuring the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple engaged in some tests on Spanish territory.
The image shows a model that has undergone a decision makeover. We notice a new tank, different side covers for the radiator and a revised tail unit, which is decidedly less bulky than the current one. The ram air, which is the airbox with a dynamic air intake which at high speeds comes under pressure and fills with air, could be increased, guaranteeing an increase in power to the 1050cc three-cylinder of the Triumph Speed Triple. The prototype seen in the image features monobloc brakes Brembo used on the current Speed Triple R and, furthermore, it seems that the double seat always used on the current bike has been replaced with a separate rider and passenger seat.
The name of the Triumph speed triple, presented to the public for the first time at the 1993 Cologne Motor Show, is inspired by a twin-cylinder Triumph of the past, the Speed Twin. In 2004, however, there was the presentation of the model we know today, the 1050 Speed Triple with a further increase in displacement, this time achieved thanks to the lengthening of the stroke by 6,4 mm. finally, in 2007 the Speed Triple 1050 had its bodywork revised by Rodolfo Frascoli of Marabese Design.
