It's almost time for the arrival of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan as suggested by the recent video published on Instagram by CS Santosh, one of the most talented Indian enduro riders.

In the video posted a few days ago on his profile, CS Santosh, who had already been the protagonist in the preview teasers of the first Himalayan in 2016, seems to be having fun riding the new Adventure from the Chennai manufacturer.

The stunts and evolutions of CS Santosh, which were probably carried out in Bangalore at the Big Rock Dirt Park centre, see the Indian driver in action on a motorcycle not yet in a completely definitive version, or more precisely on some different motorbikes since the images show some differences (as in the case of the silencer) between one motorbike and another.

450cc liquid-cooled engine

As regards technical advances, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan should have, according to what emerged from the latest rumours, a 450cc liquid-cooled engine for a power around 40-45 hp, USD fork, 21-inch front wheel and rear monoshock. While the optical cluster will evolve with the adoption of LED lights, the large circular element of the instrumentation behind the characteristic plexiglass and the tubular structures near the tank will almost certainly outline the stylistic continuity with the current model.

Waiting together with the Shotgun 650

While waiting for details and official information from the Indian manufacturer, it is very likely, in light of this video published on social media, that we will not have to wait long to discover the new Himalayan, which will almost certainly be the protagonist of EICMA 2023. At the Milanese event scheduled for November, another long-awaited novelty from the Chennai company could also make its debut: the Shotgun 650, prefigured a couple of years ago with the presentation of the prototype at EICMA 2021.
