The monoshock features a more rigorous set-up, the gear selector has been redesigned to make gear insertion smoother and there is a new compact and more resistant contact key. Finally, since the eye also wants its part, the superstructures are more taut and angular as well as customized with new captivating graphics that emphasize the 'adventure' spirit of the new 500 CB2016X. Unchanged, but still complete and easily readable, the digital dashboard with LCD screen, positioned high up, just under the pilot's gaze, to be quickly consultable in all driving and traffic conditions. It offers the usual indications of the rev counter, odometer and fuel level, plus the very useful trip computer for consumption and the clock. The HISS (Honda Intelligent Security System) is incorporated into the ignition and prevents starting without the coded key. Under the saddle there is space for a U-shaped mechanical anti-theft device.

It is a front-facing parallel twin-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and twin camshaft distribution with 4 valves per cylinder, very light, brilliant, economical in fuel consumption, and for all these characteristics capable of adapting to a great variety of uses. The brilliance of the engine is also guaranteed by the Honda PGM-FI electronic injection fuel system, for a peak power of 48 HP (35 kW) at 8.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 43 Nm at 7.000 rpm.
