New BMW G 310 R: is this the first promotional VIDEO?

New BMW G 310 R – What appears to be a promotional video of the new BMW G310R has appeared online. It can be seen on the mysterious MotorcycleDreams YouTube channel, which in the past has already published promotional videos of some two wheels before their official release.

Built in collaboration with the Indian manufacturer TVS, lhe new G310R is BMW's first foray into the sub-500cc market. Although we had seen several spy photos of the new G310R being tested, the production version was only officially revealed last November at EICMA, together with its specifications, among which we remember the 313cc single-cylinder engine housed in a tubular steel frame, while its price is not yet known.

Designed completely from scratch, the BMW G 310 R represents everything that BMW Motorrad embodies: innovation, quality and, of course, a faithful companion for its owner for many years. The BMW G 310 R can be driven on different fuel qualities, meets all emission standards and various local regulations, bringing typical BMW premium quality to the segment of motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 500 cm³. The highly expressive design of the New BMW G 310 R immediately makes the stylistic affinity with the sportier members of the family, such as the BMW S 1000 R, unmistakable.

The heart of the new BMW G 310 R is a completely newly developed, liquid-cooled 313 cc single-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts and electronic fuel injection. The displacement of 313 cm³ is the result of the bore of 80 millimeters and the stroke of 62,1 millimetres. The engine stands out for its backwards-inclined cylinder, in opendeck construction, and for the cylinder head turned by 180 degrees, so that in the driving direction the intake duct is mounted at the front. Thanks to an output of 25 kW (34 hp) at 9.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 28 Nm at 7.500 rpm, the engine of the new G 310 R presents itself, in combination with a DIN curb weight of 158,5 kilograms, as a rather dynamic partner. The new G 310 offers an extremely comfortable driving position that ensures carefree and stress-free motorbike rides. In typical BMW Motorrad style all buttons and controls are within easy reach, thus ensuring a secure grip. In this context, maximum attention was paid to management in total safety, considering the most diverse driver anatomies.
