New 1299 Panigale S Anniversario – At the celebration of the red people of two wheels, the World Ducati Week, the Borgo Panigale company presented a limited series of its superbike, the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario. It was the CEO Claudio Domenicali and the former MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner who showed the general public present at the Romagna event the limited edition of 500 pieces which celebrates the 90 years of life of the company, founded in 1926, from 1946 engaged in building motorcycles.

Distinguished by the particular "racing" livery, this limited edition variant of the Panigale is equipped with color TFT instruments with which it is possible to choose the Ducati Riding Mode setting (race, sport and wet) and tailor the bike to yourself. Fairing in white, black and red, 17" wheels in gold, the Anniversario also features as distinctive elements the upper steering plate (numbered with laser engraving) and the eccentric steering bushings, in aluminum alloy, completely made with solid machining. Steering pin moved forward by 5 mm, features carbon fiber heel guards, rear mudguard and shock absorber cover. Three elements which, together with the adoption of a lithium battery, have ensured a weight saving of 2,5 kg, lowering the final dry weight to 164 kg (188 kg in running order).

The 1.285 cc super-square twin-cylinder delivers 205 hp at 10.500 rpm. The "active" suspensions are electronically controlled (Ducati Electronic Suspension). As regards electronics, also worth mentioning is the new Evo version of Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) which raise the performance and active safety of the Bolognese superbike to the highest levels. Also part of the equipment are the Bosch Cornering ABS, for nailing to the limit without surprises, and the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down, for very fast gear changes and downshifts both on the track and on the road. On sale from mid-July at 29.590 euros, available on request with footrest kit and passenger seat, the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario is delivered with a racing kit consisting of the Akrapovic Racing exhaust, the aluminum covers to cover the mirror holes and the cover to cover the hole left by the license plate holder when it is removed to ride on the track.
