Novegro exchange exhibition November 2018: Eicma is for boys, Novegro is for men

With our story we take you to the autumn edition of the fair dedicated to vintage motorbikes (and not only)

Vintage motorbikes and cars, spare parts, memorabilia, tools, curiosities and much more. At the Novegro exchange exhibition you can find everything. The autumn edition, in parallel with Eicma, this year was also dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Moto Guzzi V7

It's easy to walk around a heated pavilion to admire the latest and most technological innovations in the world of two wheels (now also three wheels ed.). Much harder is floating on mud and plastic sheets while it rains to see all the offer of carburettors, cranks and vintage components...

How nice to have a detailed map by sector that takes you directly to see the new Caballero. But here you have to go around in circles all day to find a '91 Husaberg fender. I also prefer to have lots of beautiful, very elegant girls in their little dresses around me. But this weekend I was where there is an invisible barrier for female individuals, a sort of force field on via Corelli which also covers part of the Forlanini Park. This weekend there was the Novegro Exchange Exhibition (for friends just “Novegro”) and if you are truly passionate you certainly can't miss it. Even if it rains. Even without tight onesies.
The “Motorcycle Week” in Milan is dominated by Eicma but those who are not first-timers also know and frequent Novegro, because there you can see how much you really care about having the all original vintage motorbike. And how much do you know about motorbikes…

In Novegro you meet among enthusiasts to nourish yourself with the genuine flavor of vintage (real) motorbikes and the inevitable salamella sandwich.

The French and Germans think it's worth being there, no matter if you have to travel a long way. Novegro is the meeting place for those who are willing to give up ease and sacrifice something to satisfy their passion. Among the paths of the outdoor stands, a language is spoken that is closed to novices and inexperienced people, it is spoken in dates, sizes, serial numbers, identification codes, materials. In the covered area, new motorbikes are displayed and sold, such as the latest models from the '60s or perfect examples from 1976 or one hundred and twenty-five two-strokes fresh from the dealer. The restorations are perfect, meticulous not to mention the degree of conservation of some specimens: like new, in fact.

The center of the pavilion was dominated by Moto Guzzi's interesting display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its V7, the 90° V-twin that contributed to the popularity of the brand. The display of models that adopted the V7 ranged from the motorbikes supplied to the traffic police to the famous 850 GT. When talking about Guzzi some say "de gustibus..." but a tribute to an engine that has evolved for 50 years is absolutely necessary.
In Novegro, whoever you are, you can admire at least a couple of motorcycles you've never seen before or learn something even if you're already a super expert. Newbies and last minute enthusiasts are welcome as long as they come in with a lot of curiosity.

I saw everything? Impossible. You have to spend the whole weekend there.
Did I find what I was looking for? Almost everything, but there's another one in February at Mostra Scambio in Novegro.
