The 65th edition also offers a space dedicated to “The motorcycles of the African dream”. This is an exhibition of the motorcycles that made the history of the 80s editions of the Paris-Dakar. There is no shortage of the legendary Africa Twin 650, back on the agenda for the version just launched by Honda and at the top of the sales charts, but we then find examples of the Honda XL 600 Parigi Dakar, the Yamaha 600 Teneré, the XT 550 Dakar and of one of the queens, the BMW R80 GS which surprised by winning after skeptics thought its use in the desert was crazy.
